Gift for Tam: April Fools?
Jazz: *walks into room containing Teletraan-I's main console* *sees that Perceptor is looking at Teletraan-I's monitor intently* Heeey, Perceptor? What's that on the screen?
Teletraan-I's Computer Screen: *the following types itself out on the screen* 0100100001100101011001010110010101111001001011000010000001010000011001010111001001100011011001010111000001110100011011110111001000111111001000000101011101101000011000010111010000100111011100110010000001110100011010000110000101110100001000000110111101101110001000000111010001101000011001010010000001110011011000110111001001100101011001010110111000111111
Perceptor: *continues to frown at the screen while he answers absently* Binary, of the kind more commonly found in human computer systems.
Teletraan-I's Computer Screen: *adds* 0100001001101001011011100110000101110010011110010010110000100000011011110110011000100000011101000110100001100101001000000110101101101001011011100110010000100000011011010110111101110010011001010010000001100011011011110110110101101101011011110110111001101100011110010010000001100110011011110111010101101110011001000010000001101001011011100010000001101000011101010110110101100001011011100010000001100011011011110110110101110000011101010111010001100101011100100010000001110011011110010111001101110100011001010110110101110011001011100000110100001010
Jazz: *notices that Perceptor hasn't been typing anything into Teletraan-I* *frowns a bit* What's it sayin'?
T-ICS: 010101110110100001100001011101000010011101110011001000000110100101110100001000000111001101100001011110010110100101101110001001110011111100001101000010100000110100001010
Perceptor: *still absent* It is translating our speech into binary every time we speak.

Jazz: *Not sure he's liking where this is going* What's it gonna be used for?
Perceptor: No idea . . .
Male Voice from the Doorway: Hey!
Perceptor: *finally reacts by starting*
Jazz: *turns to the speaker*
Wheeljack: *walks towards Teletraan-I's console* I've been wondering where I put that binary code program! *types a few things on the keypad before pressing another button by a data slot out of which a flop disk looking emerges*
T-ICS: *in the middle of typing the next series of ones and zeros when it abruptly stops after the disk is removed*
Wheeljack: *shakes his head before his "earfins" glow cheerfully* See ya around! *walks out of the room*
Perceptor: *still appears to be nonplussed as he makes a note on a forgotten datapad that the "strange phenomenon" going on with Teletraan-I was no such thing* *after he does this, appears to be a bit more satisfied and more like his usual cheerful self* That's one mystery solved anyway. Now I believe I do believe . . .
Jazz: *looks noticeably relieved as Perceptor continues to chatter away about some modification he was wanting to make to . . . something or other . . . when he notices what is now being displayed on Teletraan-I's screen* Uh, Perceptor? *repeats himself when the first try fails to get the science bot's attention* Perceptor?
Perceptor: *stops mid-exposition* Hmm? Yes, what is it Jazz? *turns to look up at the predominantly white bot*
Jazz: *merely points at the screen*
T-ICS: *once again typing out the ones and zeros of binary*
Mechs: *stare at it dumbfounded even as it finishes it's translation and transcription of Perceptor's exposition up to Perceptor's last words at which point the screen goes blank for what seems like eternity* *And then . . .*
T-ICS: *typing out* 0100000101110000011100100110100101101100001000000100011001101111011011110110110000100111011100110010111000001101000010100000110100001010
Jazz: . . . What's it say?
Perceptor: *reads it* *double takes as he checks his chronometer and then replies, still managing to look confused* "April Fools"?
Both Mechs: *let silence and puzzlement go over the room as the screen once again goes blank*
