This is a test

How does this do this?

Does it still do this?

Will it even recognize this?

EDIT: HTML works. I am satisfied for the moment.

In Response to the Death of Osama bin Laden

Thank goodness for the Navy SEALS. Thank you, Navy SEALS. Despite the odds and the malfunctioning helicopter, you guys were able to get in, do the job and get out. Brave souls all of you. Thank you for doing the things many others would not have done. You've done your country a great service that cannot be repaid.

Thank you, Mr. President. Thank you for making giving the go-ahead on the operation. President Bush made a promise and you yourself made a promise that America would be heard by this man and others responsible for the attack on 9/11. I think he got the message. Thank you, Mr. President.

God Bless America.

To-Do List Updated to the Infinity Power . . . Okay, not that much

To-Do List (no particular order after first one)
  • Complete RL obligations (because I still have them!)
  • Do some German stuff
  • Get all of the events from Random!verse written down on paper to work on later (working on it)
  • Re-watch G1 series and take some notes (Rewatching G1 Series in German, but notes are still pretty much a no-go. It is very interesting. Powerglide sounds like a daredevil cowboy. Yes, that's his German version.)
  • Figure out a timeline for Random!verse (still working on it, got a lot done in December)
  • Re-watch Transformers: Animated! and reacquaint myself with the verse
  • Finish my TFAni Sages entry
  • Decide what I want to do with TFAni!verse
  • Revise first "chapter" of new Story
  • Continue brainstorming for new story (characters, plot, setting, title, etc.)
  • Revise/Rewrite wacko Fairy Tale (probably won't happen)

I'm currently reading:
  • Book of Mormon (Currently on Alma 30; 280 pgs out of 531 pgs; 52.73% complete) Done, but I have been rereading it, in such a way I can't quite place it
  • 5000 Year Leap: A Miracle That Changed the World by W. Cleon Skousen (22 pgs of 252 pgs (including Appendixes but excluding index, DoI, Constitution and everything else at end); 8.73% Complete); Bought a copy of a different version of this book, so I am rereading it instead of trying to find my place.

To Read/Take a Look at/Finish List
  • The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe by Edgar Allan Poe (has been started at least, some poems have been read, might skip over to the stories though)
  • InkDeath by Cornelia Funke (Not gonna happen any time soon; book's at a different local)
  • Once and Future King by T. H. White (Done with The Queen of Air and Darkness (Did this way back in August 2010))
  • "The Rainbow Orchid" (British graphic novel) http://www.comicsbulletin.com/reviews/12501292302336.htm
  • A Patriot's History of the United States: From Columbus's Great Discovery to the War on Terror by Larry Schweikart and Michael Patrick Allen
  • George Washington's Sacred Fire by Peter A. Lillback
  • Ouida Sebestyn's 'Words by Heart'

Current Wishlist
  • Transformers Animated!: Season 3 (DVD) (Only one I didn't get at Christmas)
  • War for Cybertron (Video Game) (Got in August 2010)

A bit late in coming . . . (Rant)

But really, Hasbro. . . . Robot. Zombies. That was the best you could come up with for a starting conflict?

And what, dare I ask, are you going to do for the rest of the season? Vampire Robots? Or maybe Wererobots?

Just make Jack Darby a shiny Vampire Robot, the Japanese girl a bajillion times stupider, and Raf a Wererobot and you could make Transformers: Prime as well-beloved a series as the Twilight saga. Yes, that was saracasm.

And you say that this series is gonna last longer than all the others?

Pfft. I would have rather had a fourth season of Transformers: Animated. Now there would have been some actual quality.

Too late now.

And Prime has only like, two 'Cons that actually do anything other than spit back what was said or chase little kiddies all across a town a 1/4 of a mile wide. Soundwave could have been awesome. But nope, you're just too stuck on just having Megatron and Starscream go at each other's throats. In G1, it was entertaining. In Prime, it's just like, "Please just shoot each other already." I may align myself with the Autobots, but come on, give the 'Cons some variety. Transformers: Animated had great 'Cons: Blitzwing, Lugnut, Swindle, BA, Soundwave, and the clones. You hated them, but they were entertaining.

And Ratchet. I actually liked the guy for the first two episodes. Until I found out that "I needed that" was going to become a running gag, and that he basically delivered a butchered paraphrase of the TFAni line: "I may have one servo in the scrap heap, but I can still hear!" Now it's like, really? Hasbro, you're trying too hard. Snarkiness is an art. It takes a certain careful, skillful touch. Not a HACK JOB that can be done as easily has "copy and paste" on a computer! Sheesh.

And Megatron didn't even last two episodes before he was turned into what could basically be Galvatron.

Wow.

That's all I got to say for now.

A bit of a writing update . . .

For this I need to:

  • Write down all of the current events in my head
  • Use the aforementioned notes to figure out who the characters are
  • Include more canon characters in my plotlines
Ani!Verse
  • Remember what the events for "A Wrench in the Mechanism" are
Either
  • Finish "A Wrench in the Mechanism"
OR
  • Finish writing out the conversation

    The Card Game WIP

It was a card game. What else would it be?

    Seriously.

The two mechs were playing a card game with one of the few remaining holodecks in the entire universe.

Okay, that's a lie. There were plenty of holodecks out there. It's just . . . You wouldn't think so with how destructive the War was.

Oh, who are we kidding? There needs to be a TON of holodecks because this war honestly stinks. As in, if you don't play a card game once in a while, you go INSANE.

    Anyway.

The two mechs were playing a card game in the mess of the ship, occasionally exchanging words or signs.

It was a new game from a place called "Earth." Often played the natives of the planet: "Humans." He didn't think he would ever understand it, but many of the others did.

Contact with the 'bots on Earth was limited, and yet some of the culture had somehow made it all the way to Cybertron. Those who in more peaceful times would normally latch onto the newest product of Cybertronian culture latched onto the products of this planet known as Earth. Cards games, sound bytes, dance moves, holoflicks: Everything.

But the two mechs, one red and the other blue, were just playing this confusing human card game.

"Do you have any twos, Random?" the politer, more reserved red mech said to his bluer companion.

"Nope. Go to the pool of clear liquid and retrieve a living form of flesh and calcium," the red mech's companion replied.

But instead, the reserved mech took a card from the top of the holodeck and placed it into his hand.

"Got any threes, Sneak?" the blue mech asked after the red mech had done this.

"Unfortunately, I do not. Please 'go fish.'"

And that was one of the most confusing parts: "Go fish" or "living form of flesh and calcium." One was obviously using the correct term, but the other was just saying the weird things. What in the universe was a "fish" or even a "living form of flesh and calcium"? It made no sense.

    I support the 9-12 project . . .

I have actually been in support of this for a while. Ever since I first heard about it several weeks ago. Unfortunately, Washington, D.C. is too far away for me to make a trip out there, and Real Life obligations prevented me from traveling to the state to participate in a rally. However, I am very proud of the tens of thousands gathered in Washington, D.C., and also of the thousands in 9-12 rallies across the country. Since I can't be in Washington or the rally in the state and I didn't buy a 9-12 T-shirt show off my beliefs, I'm advertising it here.
